Laying technologies

When a person thinks about his project, he is faced with a bunch of questions: what materials are needed for the exterior wall? And how to use materials without residue?

The answers to these and many other questions are waiting for you! Just click on the picture, and if after that you still have questions – the contacts of our manager are at the bottom of the page.

First of all, let’s talk about the basis of everything – bricks.

The choice of brick and its use

1. For the outer wall bricks are used, the frost resistance of which is not less than 35 cycles (for each brick Prokeram frost resistance is specified in the description).

2. Before laying the first row of bricks is laid “dry” to determine the location of vertical seams and avoid useless cutting of bricks, and only then with mortar!

3. Hand-formed bricks have their own feature – it is placed notch up.

4. When baked, all the bricks are of different colors. To make the wall look uniform, the bricks from the pallet on which it was baked are taken diagonally – this is how the temperature in the oven is distributed.

5. It is necessary to avoid useless use of halves of a brick in corners of walls and apertures, thus saving means and time.

We follow all the rules of masonry. Check us out, we’re ready!

Laying tips

1. Each type of brick has its own mortar.

2. It is necessary to pre-moisten bricks with high water absorption.

3. After setting of a brick with a solution it needs to be given time to harden.

4. Splashes of the solution must be removed from the walls before they harden.

5. The seam should not deviate more than 2 mm from the front surface of the brick.

6. The seam should be made in such a way that rainwater can flow freely on the wall.

7. The recommended thickness of a horizontal seam is 12 mm, vertical seam of 10 mm.

8. When designing a wall with a ventilation gap, the width of the gap should be 30-40 mm.

9. For ventilation inside the air gap, each 3-4 vertical seams of the lower and upper rows of masonry are left unfilled with mortar.
